From hometown roots to
plumbing wholesale
After serving as a B29 pilot in WWII, Jack Justus returned to Branson. He worked for Mr. Whelchel, owner of a downtown hardware store, then purchased Whelchel Hardware in 1951 – the beginning of the Justus family’s entrepreneurial journey.
In 1961, the business shifted from retail merchandise to plumbing wholesale under the L&J Plumbing Supply name, allowing the family to source directly from manufacturers and improve local pricing for customers.

L&J Plumbing Supply shifts from retail merchandise into plumbing wholesale.
Growth leads the business into a larger facility nearby.
A Stone County branch opens across Table Rock Lake.
L&J relocates north of Branson, just off Hwy 65 and the High Road.
The Justus family continues serving Branson, Stone County, and the Ozarks.
